DKI Webinar: Dr. David Glancy Discusses Taiwan-China Conflict, Uncertain International Relations, and the Economic Impact
We wanted to send you a quick reminder that DKI is hosting a webinar on Thursday, February 22nd at 12pm Eastern Time. This webinar is open to the public. If you’d like to support us and subscribe, you’re welcome to do so here, but it’s not necessary to participate in this event.

This webinar will be Thursday, February 22nd at 12PM Eastern Time and will feature special guest, Dr. David Glancy. Dr. Glancy is a Professor of Strategy and Statecraft at the Institute of World Politics. Prior to that, he worked at Booz Allen Hamilton on National Intelligence issues. He was also an Assistant Professor with the College of International Security Affairs at National Defense University. Dr. Glancy has held positions at the US State Department and Defense Department. At State, he was Senior Advisor for Political-Military Affairs. At Defense, he was a policy analyst and advisor with the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

I have shared the stage with David on multiple occasions, and his strong grasp of economics combined with his international policy expertise make his talks relevant for anyone who wants to better understand how current geopolitical events are shaping economies and the financial markets. Of note, on a prior webinar with DKI, David pointed out China’s economic problems a year and a half before the Moody’s downgrade. His work has been predictive.

We’ll be discussing some important issues related to geopolitics and the economy. Topics will include:

  • Trend towards more conflict and uncertainty in international relations.
  • Impact of greater conflict on globalization. How much will economic nationalism and national security-focused trade policies affect technology, mining, energy, and autos?
  • Will this lead to higher inflation and more supply chain disruption? We think it will.
  • What’s the timing on a future Taiwan/China conflict?
  • Will China provoking the Philippines draw the US into another conflict?
  • Do we see a near-term exit for Ukraine/Russia?
  • Impact of conflict in the Middle East on shipping, supply chains, and energy.

Logon details for the call are listed below.

Looking forward to meeting new faces and seeing old ones!
