DKI Email Hacked – Problem Now Fixed

Hi All,

I’m sorry to report that DKI’s investor relations email account was hacked this morning. This led to many of you receiving a spam message with some nonsense about Elon Musk’s WiFi. The message was not sent by DKI.

For the people who alerted me to the problem, thank you very much. I appreciate the help. For the people irritated by the problem, I understand and agree. Like you, I despise getting spam emails promoting scams.

We have taken all necessary steps and believe we have effectively kicked the spammers out of the system.

DKI uses long passwords with a variety of character types in accordance with best practices. The team at Flying V consistently maintains the back-end with speed I find remarkable. And I use a VPN (virtual private network) at all times to prevent my web traffic and passwords from being easily intercepted. I’d love to tell you that this will never happen again, but the truth is the spammers improve their deceitful game every year. Even tech titan Microsoft and cybersecurity firm Okta have been hacked multiple times in the last year.

My promise to you is that we will always address these matters as quickly as possible. Today’s breach was resolved in under an hour and I personally sent apology emails to every one of you who complained.

The reason the “unsubscribe” button on the spam email didn’t work is because the email didn’t come from us. While I hope none of you will want to unsubscribe based on this, DKI puts an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. We honor every request to remove you from the system.

I also want to assure you that DKI does NOT store individual credit card numbers. While the bad actors succeeded in sending irritating emails, they did not have access to anyone’s payment information.

Again, I’m sorry for today’s issue. If any of you need to communicate with me directly about this, I’m always reachable at IR@DeepKnowledgeInvesting.com.

Best,

Gary Brode
