Finding the Next Amazon in Ed Tech

Higher education in the U.S. is in crisis. The average American college student leaves university with burdensome debt loads and much doubt about securing a successful career. Gary Brode, founder of Deep Knowledge Investing, returns to Real Vision to argue that the solution to this problem is online education. Brode tells Real Vision’s Jack Farley why he thinks online learning is a trillion-dollar revenue opportunity that offers students flexibility at a fraction of the cost of on-campus learning while at the same time allowing universities to serve more students and secure a better return on their assets. Brode goes in-depth on two companies in particular, Coursera ($COUR) and 2U ($TWOU). He explains why his research indicates that Coursera is the most promising stock in the sector, and he offers several different ways to trade this security as well as other investment opportunities in Ed Tech.
